The city is already occupied by Japanese army, and the church still untouched from looting and raping, coz its fortified with high concrete wall. The priest is also a westerner and they have immunity in the war.

An Asger Leth's movie that want to make a suicide attempt by jump from a building become more thrilling than others, including makes a wider scenario to a police-crime drama and robbery of a huge diamond.


It is also starred by many well-known actors/actress like "the avatar" sam worthington, sexy-smart elizabeth banks, an oldies look a like alien ed harris, MILF kyra sedgwick, the curvy latina genesis rodriguez, and the all timer sidekick-boy jamie bell.


The movie become a little bit boring when sam worthington start to throw moneys, for a several time, from the building to the public who watch him from the street. It became clearer that sam and also the movie's scriptwriter start to run out of ideas to fill the 102 minutes length movie time.

Cohen play as a one feet Station Inspector, which become an enemy to orphans who scroundel in the Paris'
Montparnasse Station. The inspector became the nemesis to Hugo Cabret, an orphan that silently-operate the big clocks in the station.

Nice drama and "wow" intrigues in the whole movie, none of anybody predictions was smooth about the story. Personality-duel between Matthew McConaughey and Ryan Phillippe was magnificent.


The other characters also support the story like Earl (Laurence Mason), Lavin (William H. Macy), Val (John Leguizamo), Corliss (Shea Whigham), Minton (Josh Lucas), Dobbs (Bob Gunton), Jesus (Michael Pena), Mary Windsor (Frances Fisher), and also the hot hot hot MILF Maggie McPherson (Marissa Tomei--toooooo bad there are no further bed scene).
